Ellie Tansey has both a Masters of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City.  Ellie’s philosophy is that vibrant health comes from a balance of mind, body and spirit. Chronic disorders sometimes take a lifetime to develop and Ellie uses a Traditional Chinese Medical approach along with an assessment of your lifestyle and nutrition in helping you reach your goals.  She also works with you to redefine your relationship to your illness.

While Ellie is a general practitioner she does specialize in helping people with food allergies, digestive disorders, anxiety, depression and fertility.  She also works quite a bit with autoimmune disorders such as Multiple Sclerosis, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).  She also works with adrenal and thyroid disorders by helping to regulate the endocrine system through the use of Chinese Herbs and Acupuncture.

Ellie maintains a private practice in downtown Minneapolis.  Additionally, Ellie works as Adjunct Faculty at Northwestern Health Sciences University College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine as a Clinical Supervisor.

Ellie served as the Acupuncture chair for the American Holistic Medical Association of MInnesota in 2010.

Ellie also has been a student of Andean Shamanism and has traveled to Peru to work with the Q’ero medicine men and women living in the high Andes. Studying under Christina Donnell and the Winds of  Change Association since 2006.
